The nitrogen fixing bacteria are found in lumps on the roots called root nodules. Prime purpose of this lecture is to present on Nitrogen Cycle. Nitrogen is present in the environment in a wide variety of chemical forms including organic nitrogen, ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, nitrous oxide, nitric oxide or inorganic nitrogen gas. Here also focus on the bacteria and the plant have a symbiotic relationship: the bacteria benefits by having food and shelter from the plant and the plant benefits by having nitrates produced by the bacteria.
