Animal Uses for Food and Labor. We get meat from animals.  Meat is a source of protein; one of the five essential nutrients.  Leather is the skin of animals. Hides – leather clothing, dog treats, shoes, baseball gloves, ball coverings, gloves, etc. We also get Milk, it is more efficient source of protein and also Calcium (Ca). Most common Animal Uses are: silk, wool, pictures of foods (milk, cheese, meats, eggs), leather, feathered decorations, bone meal, organic fertilizer etc.
