Neuroendocrinology

Neuroendocrinology arises from the recognition that the brain, particularly the hypothalamus, controls secretion of pituitary gland hormones, and has subsequently prolonged to inspect many interconnections of the endocrine and nervous systems. Neuroendocrinology is the study of the interface between the nervous structure and the endocrine structure including the biological features of the cells involved, and how they converse.
