Xeromphalina setulipes is often a species of fungus on the family Mycenaceae. The species produces mushrooms with darker reddish-brown caps as much as 15 millimeters throughout, dark purplish-brown stems as much as 45 millimeters in height and distinctive, arched, brown gills. The mushrooms were being found growing directly in the acidic soil on the forest floor, encased by plant waste materials, during November.
