Protocell

A protocell or protobiont is certainly a self-organized, endogenously ordered, spherical assortment of lipids proposed as a stepping-stone to the foundation of life. A central question in development is how basic protocells arose and how they could differ in reproductive output first, thus allowing the accumulation of novel biological emergences as time passes, i.e. biological development. Although an operating protocell has not however been obtained in a laboratory setting up, the target to understand the procedure appears well at the fingertips.
