Nobility of Labor
Introduction:
Work is life. the man has to work to sustain his living on earth. When Allah sent Adam into the earth He commanded Him to earn his bread by work. It signifies that Labor is sacred and dignified. To get success in life, work is the main medium. thus, we have to work hard to keep our existence. And labor has much dignity and honor.
Kinds of labor: Labor indicates manual Labor and mental lemur. Manual Labor means doing something with one’s own limbs, mainly hands. It is called physical Labor. Intellectual activities are termed as mental Labor. Both of these types of labor done by the movement of our hands, foot, etc. Mental labor indicates the work of our brain. both these types of labor are essential for us. Manual Labor and mental Labor are closely connected. Both are useful. Both have dignity and honor
Importance of Manual Labor: The world is a great worktop. Labour is the source of all success, prosperity, and progress. The man has to work for his own livelihood. None helps us to keep us alive. We have work. This work can survive us. Nothing great and noble can be achieved without manual Labor. In our daily affairs of life, manual Labor plays a very important role. The works of a housewife, a farmer, a weaver, and others are very important.” Thus the importance of work is immense.
In fact, the word ‘labor’ implies manual labor. Manual labor is the root of all progress. Many of our lives ’ daily necessities would not have been produced without manual labor. It is essential for human society. This labor has helped man to develop hid civilization. All the essential ingredients of developed civilization have been possible because of labor. The cities, towns, large buildings have been erected by means of labor. The modern cultivation would be almost impossible without manual Labor. Every honest work is noble. It brings fame. It is worship. All the religions of the world direct their followers to be industrious. Therefore, manual Labor is sacred. It brings prosperity to life.
The result of the negligence of Labor: A man who does not like to do works must not be able to earn his food. He will have either go on starvation or to steal. As a result, he is hated and neglected by others. He dies leaving nothing behind him, so negligence of work cannot earn respect from others.
To be self-confident: It is the Labor by which a man can fulfill his desires. A man who works honestly is sure of getting his food. clothes and shelter. We have to work hard we should use our time we must not neglect or abhor any type of work. We have to give the dignity of labor. in this way, we can get success in life.
Example: All the great men of the world honored by manual Labor. The life history of great men like Hazrat Muhammad (SM). Emperor Nasiruddin. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar teaches us lessons on the dignity of Labor. They all did every possible work with their own hands.
Conclusion: Human life is impossible without work. It is meaningless without labor. We must work because our life is not a bed of roses. The industry is the mother of good luck. We should be industrious to attain success in life. To survive here, labor is necessary. We have to realize the dignity of labor. We should always understand that labor is life.
