General objective of this lecture is to present on Neuron, in terms of Nervous System. Neuron is the basic functional unit of the nervous system. Its functions are send impulses to and from the CNS and PNS and the effectors (muscles/glands). The neuron is the basic working unit of the brain, a specialized cell designed to transmit information to other nerve cells, muscle, or gland cells. There are 3 types of neurons: Sensory Neurons, Motor Neurons, and Interneurons.
