Neural Ensemble

Neural Ensemble

The idea of neural ensemble goes back to the perform of Charles Sherrington who described the functioning with the CNS as the machine of reflex arcs, each made up of interconnected excitatory as well as inhibitory neurons. Throughout Sherrington’s scheme, α-motoneurons are one more common path of numerous neural circuits involving different complexity: motoneurons integrate many inputs and  send their final productivity to muscles.
