Basic objectives of this lecture is to describe on Ionic and Metallic Bonding. Metallic bonding is the strong attraction between closely packed positive metal ions and a ‘sea’ of delocalized electrons. Ionic bonding occurs between positive and negative ions, which attract each other and bind together to form ionic compounds. This lecture also briefly describe on Octet rule, formation of cations and formation of anions etc.
