Hayflick Limit suggests that the human cell is limited in the number of times it can divide. The concept of the Hayflick limit was advanced by American anatomist Leonard Hayflick in 1961. It indicates the need to slow down the rate of cell division if we want to live long lives. It is also surmised that cell-division can be improved with many of the protocols of the other aging theories described herein. Hayflick Limit is a concept that helps to explain the mechanisms behind cellular aging.
