Diffusionless transformation is a phase change occurring without the long-range diffusion of atoms but rather by some sort of cooperative, homogeneous movement of the many atoms that brings about a change inside crystal structure. These kind of movements are modest, usually less than the interatomic distances, along with the atoms maintain the relative relationships.
