Volcanic Eruptions

Volcanic Eruptions

Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Volcanic Eruptions. A volcano is a vent or ‘chimney’ that connects molten rock (magma) from within the Earth’s crust to the Earth’s surface. The volcano includes the surrounding cone of erupted material. The most common type of volcanic eruption occurs when magma (the term for lava when it is below the Earth’s surface) is released from a volcanic vent.
