Vlasov Equation is particularly important in studies of plasma waves, wave-particle interactions, and plasma instabilities. It is a differential equation describing time evolution of the distribution function of plasma consisting of charged particles with long-range interaction. Vlasov Equation also sheds light to various resonance phenomena. It is sometimes regarded as the most important equation of plasma physics.
