Principles of Genetic Engineering

Genetic engineering, also known as recombinant DNA technology, means altering the genes in a living organism to produce a Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) with a new genotype. This lecture focus to present on Principles of Genetic Engineering. Genetic engineering involves these steps: Selection of desired characteristics; Isolation of the genes responsible for the characteristics; Insertion of the genes into other organisms and Replication of the genetically modified organisms.
