Enzymes are biological molecules (proteins) that act as catalysts and help complex reactions occur everywhere in life. This lecture briefly present on Enzymes. Here briefly focus on enzymes as Globular Proteins which act as catalysts and explain their catalytic action in terms of lowering activation energy. Here also describe examples of enzyme-catalysed reactions and discuss factors affecting reaction rates and inhibition. Finally predent on how to investigate these effects experimentally.
