Genetic Recombination

Genetic Recombination

Genetic recombination is the transmission-genetic process by which the combinations of alleles observed on different loci throughout two parental individuals become shuffled throughout offspring individuals. Genetic recombination is the production of children with combinations of traits that differ from those found throughout either parent. Throughout eukaryotes, genetic recombination during meiosis can bring about a novel number of genetic information that can be passed on from parents to the offspring.
