Evolutionary biology is a theoretical subfield of biology that intersects with further subfields that are enclosed by biological organization, taxonomic level or angle of approach like field biology, theoretical biology, experimental progression, palaeontology etc. Generally, these intersections are combined into particular fields such as evolutionary ecology and evolutionary biology. Somebody who studies evolutionary biology is recognized as an evolutionary biologist.
