An electricity market is a system enabling acquisitions, through bids to acquire; sales, through offers to market; and short-term trading, generally in the shape of financial or perhaps obligation swaps. Bids while offering use supply along with demand principles setting the price. Long-term trades are contracts similar to power purchase contracts and generally regarded private bi-lateral orders between counterparties.
