An electrical sail (also termed electric solar wind sail or E-Sail) is usually a proposed form connected with spacecraft propulsion using the dynamic pressure with the solar wind being a source of thrust. It creates a “virtual” sail by using small wires to form an electric industry that deflects photovoltaic wind protons as well as extracts their traction. It was conceived by Pekka Janhunen via Finland in 2006 in the FMI.
