Simulated reality is the hypothesis that reality could be simulated—for example through computer simulation—to a diploma indistinguishable from “true” truth. It could consist of conscious minds which can or may not be fully aware actually living inside some sort of simulation. This is pretty different from the actual, technologically achievable reasoning behind virtual reality.
