The particular Archaea constitute a domain or kingdom of single-celled germs. These microbes are generally prokaryotes, meaning that they have no cell nucleus or another membrane-bound organelles into their cells. Archaea and bacteria are usually similar in theme, although a few archaea have extremely strange shapes, like the flat and square-shaped solar cells of Haloquadratum walsbyi.
