It is a broadly described annual report of Union Bank of India in the year of 2011-2012. During the financial year, The Bank’s Total Business registered an annual growth rate of 13.62% from Rs. 3,55,483 Crore as on 31st March 2011 to Rs. 4,03,900 Crore as on 31st March 2012. Deposits increased from Rs. 2,02,461 Crore as on 31st March 2011 to Rs. 2,22,869 Crore as on 31st March 2012 with annual growth of 10.08%. Operating Profit increased from Rs. 4305 Crore to Rs. 5254 Crore. Net Profit stood at Rs. 1787 Crore for the year 2011-12. Net Profit for the year was affected due to higher provisions for restructured accounts to the extent of Rs. 507 Crore. Total Income of the Bank increased by 26.96% from Rs. 18,491 Crore in 2010-11 to Rs. 23,476 Crore in 2011-12. Book Value per share of Rs. 237.48, an increase of 11.40% over the previous year.

The Board of Directors of the Bank has recommended a dividend of @80% for the year 2011-12, i.e. Rs. 8.00 for each share with face value of Rs. 10.00.
