It is a broadly described annual report of National Bank of Pakistan in the year of 2009. During the financial year, the Bank’s Total assets stood at Rs. 945,903,269 billion. Pre-tax profit has reduced to Rs. 22.3 billion, a decrease of 3% over last year. Net profit after taxation for the year Rs. 18,212 billion. Earnings per share increased by 18% to Rs.16.92 in 2009. The top line (Operating Revenue) increased by 7.5% from Rs. 53.4 billion in 2008 to Rs. 57.5 billion in 2009.
The Board of Directors of the Bank has recommended a Cash Dividend @75% and Bonus Shares @25% for the year ended 31st December 2009.
