Annual Report 2007-2008 of Ashok Leyland

It is a broadly described annual report of Ashok Leyland in the year of 2007-2008. Net Current Assets (excluding cash/bank balances) as of 31^st March 2008 stood at Rs. 1,519 million compared to the previous year level of Rs. 5,069 million. The Net sales for the year at Rs. 77,291 million, has increased by 7.8% as compared to previous year. The Company posted Profit before Tax (PBT) for the year was Rs. 6,381.50 million. After providing for taxes at Rs. 1,688 million, profit after tax for the current year improved by 6.3 % to Rs. 4,693 million. The Basic & Diluted Earnings per Share (EPS) of the Company for the year Rs. 3.53.

The Board of Directors of the Company has recommended a dividend of @150% (Rs. 1.50 per equity share of Rs. 1/-) for the year ended 31^st March 2008.
