This lecture introduce on Units of Acceleration. Since acceleration is a velocity divided by a time, its units are a distance unit divided by two time units. This is commonly written two ways: m/s/s = m/s²; km/hr/s = km/hr.s. The SI unit of acceleration is the metre per second squared (m s-²); or “metre per second per second”, as the velocity in metres per second changes by the acceleration value, every second.
