Telopea speciosissima, popularly known as the New Southern region Wales waratah or simply just waratah, is a sizable shrub in the plant family Proteaceae. It is endemic to Brand-new South Wales in Australia and is the floral emblem of this state. No subspecies tend to be recognised, but the closely related Telopea aspera had been only recently classified being a separate species.
