Telopea oreades, also known as the Gippsland-, mountain- or maybe Victorian waratah, can be a large shrub or maybe small tree in the family Proteaceae. Ancient to southeastern Sydney, it is present in wet sclerophyll high and rainforest on rich acidic soils loaded with organic matter. Zero subspecies are recognized, though a n . isolated population hybridises extensively with the Braidwood waratah.
