Selected AI Startups from YC’s winter ’22 Batch

Y Combinator’s winter 2022 batch has dozens of startups that do anything that could be classified as artificial intelligence. Despite the fact that the phrase has lost most of its meaning, it remains a significant component of the tech landscape, and both using and enabling it is fertile ground for new businesses. The 14 most significant companies from the most recent batch are listed here. Building: A complete image and video data warehouse. On a single platform, Eventual ingests, organizes, and processes image data. In addition, it handles queries, has easy interaction with cloud providers, and uses smart scheduling to reduce computation costs.

“Right now, users jumble one together with numerous suppliers or difficult-to-manage open-source frameworks.” “We’re a one-stop store,” says the narrator. TC Quick TakeTM: Many businesses require some form of the image analysis pipeline, therefore creating a one-stop-shop is a viable market strategy. However, keeping customers that are starting to scale and squint at the expenses could be difficult.

Building: An AI-powered platform for genetic therapy discovery and design. For “scientific, technological, biological, genomic, and experimental” data sets, data science, and databasing are used. In addition, there are proposals for experimental design and procedures. “We assist our customers in developing more genomic therapies, faster and more efficiently, and making those innovative drugs more available to patients in need,” says the company.

TC Quick TakeTM: AI drug discovery is a hot topic, but just a few companies have made significant progress. Nonetheless, it appears to be promising, and focusing on genetic therapy is a smart concept. I’m not sure how they’ll handle the more complicated workflow and design. Building: A production-line operating system that records, digitizes, and monitors large-scale enterprises. Real-time notifications, automated reports, and photo-based quality control are all included.

“We automate what the greatest supervisors would do if they could see everything going on inside your facility,” says the quote. TC Quick TakeTM: If it’s anything like what Amazon is already doing, the workers are in for a quick trip to hell. Many factories would view it as a means to integrate numerous tracking tools if they can make it humane and beneficial.
