Prime purpose of this lecture is to present on Rock Cycle. Rocks change from one form to another, any type of rock can change into another type, for instance, an igneous rock into sedimentary or metamorphic and vice versa. Rock Cycle is an idealized cycle of processes undergone by rocks in the earth’s crust, involving igneous intrusion, uplift, erosion, transportation, deposition as sedimentary rock, metamorphism, and further melting and igneous intrusion.
