Wetting is a process by which any substances added to a liquid to lowers its surface tension and thus increase its ability to spread across or penetrate to a solid. Wetting effects predominated over stabilization effects at bile salt concentrations representative of the fasted state. Solubilization is the process of incorporation of the solubilizate into or onto the micelles.
