The study of chemical reactions, isomerizations and physical conduct that may happen under the control of visible or ultraviolet light is called Photochemistry. Two basic principles are the foundation for understanding photochemical transformations: The first law of photochemistry and The second law of photochemistry. This “photoequivalence law” was derived by Albert Einstein during his growth of the quantum (photon) theory of light.
