Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Names for Words: Parts of Speech. All sentences must start with a capital letter and all sentences must end with a punctuation. A sentence is not a part of speech; it just the thing that contains the Part of speech. Parts of Speech is a category to which a word is assigned in accordance with its syntactic functions. In English the main parts of speech are noun, pronoun, adjective, determiner, verb, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection.
