Misplaced loyalty is about being faithful to a person, ideal, custom, cause or duty and loyalty is faithfulness to commitments or obligations. Misplacing that – which is to put into a wrong place; mislay; or bestow on an improper, unsuitable, or unworthy person or idea means that your judgement of something has left you compromised, disappointed, heartbroken or letting down others.
