Major objective of this lecture is to present on Kingdom Fungi. Here briefly present on Fungal Characteristics: Cell wall made of Chitin; Heterotrophs and major Decomposers; Body is made of Long filaments of hyphae which form a mycelium and Reproduce sexually and asexually. Kingdom Fungi you must know five Major Phyla: Phylum Zygomycota = the Bread Molds; Oomycota = the Water Molds; Phylum Ascomycota = the Sac Fungi (Yeast, morels, truffles); Phylum Basidiomycota (Mushrooms, bracket fungi, rusts, smuts, toadstools) and Phylum Deuteromycota.
