Join Curve Finance’s Michael Egorov at the DeFi and the Future of Programmable Money Summit

DeFi and the Future of Programmable Money is the place to be on March 30, 2022, whether you’re a conquering whale, going to put your toes into a stable coin pool, or simply crypto-curious. You’ll hear from and interact with the best brains and dreamers in the wild world of decentralized finance during this day-long virtual conference. Curve Finance is the 800-pound gorilla of the crypto world, and we’re delighted to announce that Michael Egorov, the company’s founder and CEO, will grace the stage and share his vast knowledge. I’ll get to that in a minute.

DeFi and the Future of Programmable Money is a no-token zone, but you must register to reserve your position. Sommelier Finance, a major crypto project aiming to automate decentralized finance trading and co-founded by Zaki Manian, is sponsoring the summit. The curve is a decentralized exchange (DEX) liquidity pool based on Ethereum that is optimized for stablecoin trading. Prior to launching Curve, Egorov co-founded NuCypher and LoanCoin, worked at LinkedIn, and received a in Physics from the Swinburne University of Technology. He also graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Curve’s development and domination have been spectacular since it launched its first stablecoin pool in January 2020, with a total value locked (TVL) of $1 million. By the end of 2021, its TVL had surpassed $20 billion, making it the world’s largest DeFi project by this criteria. Around 86 percent of Curve’s $3 billion token supply (CRV) is currently trapped in various DeFi protocols. The consequent fight over dwindling liquidity has produced an entire ecosystem and sparked the so-called “Curve Wars,” according to analysts.

Egorov is a DeFi legend, and he’ll be joined by three other great brains for this must-see session: Andre Cronje, co-creator of Fantom Protocol; Taariq Lewis, founder of Volume; and Ivangbi, storyteller at Gearbox and LobsterDAO. What is the current situation of DeFi, and why is it flourishing? What’s going on in DeFi right now, and what’s causing the ecosystem to thrive? Find out which initiatives to keep an eye on and where the next wave of growth will come from.

You can see what other crypto subjects and expertise we have on the schedule by looking at the event agenda.
