Introduction: Good manners are reflected in how we conduct ourselves in our day-to-day life. We can show good manners at home, in the classroom at school, on the playground, and at any other place too whether we are traveling on a bus or flight, or enjoying an excursion or a holiday. Our parents and teachers help us develop good manners. It is best to learn good manners in childhood. If we have good manners, we are appreciated and loved by our family, teachers, classmates, and friends.

Modesty, humbleness, kindness, and courtesy are the essential traits of a well behaving person. Hence, a well-behaved person never feels proud or arrogant and always take care of the feelings of others. Practicing good manners and following them all through the day will definitely bring sunshine and add qualities to life.

Benefits of good manners: Good manner always starts at home. If we are good to our parents our family and siblings we will defiantly good to the strangers, And the child notices the behavior of their parents too so if the parents are behaving nicely with each other the kids will ultimately learn those good manners or bad manners.

Some parents focus on the study and grades of the children but they completely forget the righty brought up that can affect the kid’s personality. So it is the responsibility of the parents to educate the good manners to their kids so they could move in the society with a high head. After parents teachers should also teach the students to behave well. Teaching is not only their job. But they should also focus on the personality development of the kids. A good personality can only come from good manners and etiquette.

Must have Good Manners: Though traits within good manners are uncountable, some traits are a must. These good manners are necessary for all. Some of such good manners which we can practice in our daily life are like:

  • We should be helpful, polite, and humble to others in every possible way.
  • We must use the words ‘sorry’, ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘excuse me’ and ‘time wish’ as and when required.
  • We must respect the other’s property and always take permission before using it.
  • We must be responsible as well as self-dependent for everything at every place.
  • We must behave in a good way with humble respect to our teachers, parents, other elders, and senior citizens.
  • We should always maintain cleanliness at home, school, and all other public places.
  • We should not use any offensive or abusive language to others at home or any other place.
