Prime purpose of this lecture is to present on Heterotrophic Nutrition. Heterotrophic nutrition is nutrition obtained by digesting organic compounds prepared by other plants or animal tissues. All animals and non-green plants cannot make their own food; hence they depend on others directly or indirectly for their food supply. This lecture also briefly present on Source of Carbon, Omnivores, Symbiosis etc. The concentration of carbon in living matter (18%) is almost 100 times greater than its concentration in the earth (0.19%).
