The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is an independent agency of the USA government, established in 1914 because of the Federal Trade Percentage Act. Its principal mission is the promotion of consumer protection plus the elimination and avoidance of anti cut-throat business practices, like coercive monopoly. The Federal Trade Commission Act was certainly one of President Woodrow Wilson’s main acts against trusts.
