Dear Mr. XYZ and Mrs. XYZ,
As a principal of the school, it is my duty to inform you about the academic performance and moral conduct of your son. I am very sorry to let you know that your son’s academic performance and conduct is neither up to the mark nor satisfactory. His academic performance has been consistently poor since last few months. In addition to his lack of interest and diligence in his studies, his behaviour with his teachers is inappropriate. Moreover, his persistent absence from the class is adding more harm to his already poor academic performance. (Describe actual problem and situation in brief).
The purpose of this writing to you is to inform and suggest to both of you so that you could persuade your son to mend his conduct with his teachers and perform well in his studies. His current academic performance and behaviour are not meeting the criterion to continue his studies in my school. However, I am giving you a chance to advise him to correct his conduct with his teachers and improve his academic performance. In other cases, his candidature as a student in my school will be terminated on this account.
Irrespective of this, I am fully convinced that he has the potential and talent to shine in his studies provided that he is interested and motivated to do so.
