A new cohousing community is a variety of intentional community consisting of private homes supplemented simply by shared facilities. Town is planned, owned and managed with the residents that also share activities that might include cooking, food, child care, horticulture, and governance in the community. Common facilities can sometimes include a kitchen, living area, laundry, child attention facilities, offices, access to the internet, guest rooms, in addition to recreational features.
