It was conceived being a reaction against the rampant Capitalism and Liberalism of nineteenth Century Europe. Classical Marxism describes the economic, philosophical, and sociological theories expounded by simply Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, as contrasted with in the future developments in Marxism, particularly Leninism and Marxism–Leninism.
