Biomass will be biological material derived from living, or recently living organisms. It usually refers to plant life or plant-based materials which might be specifically called lignocellulosic biomass. Being an energy source, biomass can either double directly via combustion to generate heat, or indirectly immediately after converting it to various sorts of biofuel. Conversion of biomass to biofuel can be carried out by different methods which might be broadly classified directly into: thermal, chemical, in addition to biochemical methods.
