Bacterial growth is the asexual reproduction, or cell division, of any bacterium into a pair of daughter cells, within a process called binary fission. Providing no mutational celebration occurs the producing daughter cells are genetically identical towards original cell. For this reason, “local doubling” with the bacterial population takes place.
