It is a broadly described annual report of Investment Corporation Of Bangladesh Limited in the year of 2014. The Fund has earned an amount of Tk. 145.06 lac as the dividend from the investment of securities of 86 companies during 2013-14. In 2012-13 the fund earned an amount of Tk. 124.39 lac as dividend income. During 2013-14, the Fund has earned Tk. 685.30 lac as capital gains by selling securities of 35 companies which is 48.61 percent higher than the previous year. During 2012-13 it earned Tk. 460.91 lac as capital gains. During the year under review, the Fund has earned a gross income of Tk. 850.01 lac by way of dividend income from the investment of shares amounting to Tk. 145.06 lac, Tk. 17.71 lac as interest on bank deposits. Tk. 685.30 lac as capital gains and other income.
The Fund declared the dividend at the rate of 800.00 percent against each Certificate of Tk. 10.00 which was 700.00 percent in the previous year. After making provision of Tk. 600.00 lac for payment of dividend the Fund has an undistributed income of Tk. 854.29 lac. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
