Annual Report 2009-2010 of Karnataka Bank Limited

It is a broadly described annual report of Karnataka Bank Limited in the year of 2009-2010. During the financial year, The Bank’s total business turnover touched Rs. 38166.33 Crore, an increase of 18.74% over the preceding year. The total deposits of the Bank grew from Rs. 20333.29 Crore as on 31^st March 2009 to Rs. 23730.65 Crore as on 31^st March 2010, registering a growth of 16.71%. The Bank earned an operating profit of Rs. 260.84 Crore for the year 2009-10 as against Rs. 480.21 Crore for the previous year. The net profit of the Bank decreased from Rs. 266.70 Crore to Rs. 167.12 Crore. The earnings per share (basic) and the book value of the share stood at Rs. 13.50 and Rs. 136.80 respectively as on 31^st March 2010.

The Board of Directors of the bank was pleased to recommend a dividend of @40% for the financial year 2009-10.
