This lecture introduce on Trench Warfare: Disasters and Diseases. Trenches were used by both the Allies and the Central Powers. Diseases such as influenza, typhoid, trench foot, trench fever, malaria and diabetes were present during the war. Caused by exposure to wet and damp conditions. Trenchfoot is a common disease in Trench Warfare. From having wet feet most of the time and nowhere to dry them out. Trench are an easy food source for rats and a place to breed disease.
