The general objective of this article is to know about subarachnoid hemorrhage. The term subarachnoid hemorrhage refers to extravasations of blood into the subarachnoid space among the pial and arachnoid membranes. It happens in different clinical contexts, the most general being head trauma. However, the familiar use of the term SAH refers to no traumatic hemorrhage, which typically occurs in the setting of a ruptured cerebral aneurysm or arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
