Sociology of sport, alternately termed as sports sociology, is really a sub-discipline of sociology which targets sports as social phenomena. It is usually an area of study interested in various socio-cultural buildings, patterns, and organizations or groups included in sport. There are many perspectives through which sport will be displayed. The emergence on the sociology of sport dates on the end of this 19th century, when first social psychological experiments coping with group effects associated with competition and pace-making took place.
