Real cause analysis is a way of problem solving used by identifying the root factors that cause faults or difficulties. A factor is regarded a root result in if removal thereof from the problem-fault-sequence prevents the ultimate undesirable event coming from recurring whereas a causal factor is the one which affects an event’s final result, but is not just a root cause.
