Principle objective of this lecture is to present on Rocks. A rock is a naturally occurring solid mixture of one or more minerals. Rocks are classified by how they are formed, their composition and texture. Rocks change over time through the rock cycle. The three main types, or classes, of rock are sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous and the differences among them have to do with how they are formed.
